About

We are assembling a group of 13 experts to discuss how we can translate the findings of science and engineering research on a set of interfacial fluid flow phenomena – “Marangoni” flows – to the clinical studies to develop a new class of therapies for treating various obstructive lung diseases such as cystic fibrosis.

The workshop goals are:

To identify the critical bottlenecks to developing therapies which utilize surfactant enhanced drug transport in the lung.

To instigate the formation of science/engineering/pharma/clinical partnerships to overcome these bottlenecks.

To map the path to translational studies

We will disseminate our results through publications and conference presentations.
