COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)

IMPACT OF COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) ON BEACH2020

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is changing rapidly.
Please use the links below to stay current with the situation.
Any significant updates will be noted on the conference homepage.

For the safety of the participants and the local community, we ask
that you periodically check the list of Level 2 and Level 3
Travel Health Notice countries, according to the U.S. Centers
for Disease Control and Protection (CDC)

If you will be in any of these countries in the 14 days prior to
BEACH2020, please wait to finalize your plans for attendance.
(As of March 10, 2020 this includes China, Iran, South Korea, Italy
and Japan). Please note that there is also a complete ban on
entry to the United States for foreigners who have been in China or
Iran in the 14 days prior to their arrival in the United States

We should be able to accommodate remote talks for any affected speakers.

Current information on the Carnegie Mellon response to COVID-19 is available here

We will follow all university policies as they develop.
As an example, we note that all university-sponsored international travel for CMU researchers is currently restricted until further notice (since March 4, 2020) and our branch campuses in Silicon Valley and Qatar have recently moved to online classes only.
